I'm Not a Poet, Nor a Prophet
I'm not a poet, nor a prophet, though I dream from time to time I'm an artist of illusion, and I sketch a strange design So don't pay me with respect, just pay me with attention ------ "Did a Verse End?" -Common Rotation Just me and my thoughts. It can be a fun and scary place.

Ohio Smites Jesus
I thought this was worthy of both my Livejournal and this blog.
I occasionally get the strangest phone calls when I'm at work. Yesterday was no exception. Wife called my cell in the late afternoon and asked if I remembered the "Touchdown Jesus" statue we saw on the expressway while driving from Cincinnati to Dayton to see Phantom of the Opera.
This is "Touchdown Jesus" :
Of course I remembered it. A giant Jesus emerging from a pond on the side of the highway, arms in the air, looking up to the sky like he's about to get drenched with Gatorade for winning the Super Bowl isn't something that would easily leave me. (On a side note, I ended up nicknaming this statue The Kraken instead because of the whole emerging from water thing).
Moving on.
Sometime on Monday a big storm rolled through Ohio and Jesus was struck by lightning.
Don't fret. Jesus is apparently being rebuilt.

Home Again
I took a road trip this weekend to Ohio to see Phantom of the Opera with Wife. I also ended up taking a small detour to Kentucky to visit with Ashe. <3
